The position will require the candidate to relocate to the Southern Highlands. The Southern Highlands is conveniently located between Sydney and Canberra (1.5hrs south of Sydney). It is a sought-after area for people and families seeking to relocate for lifestyle purposes due to the easy way of life and beautiful country surroundings whilst maintaining convenient access to infrastructure. It offers a well-balanced way of life away from the hustle and bustle of the cities.

The compensation package for the first year includes an annual salary of $70K – 80K base salary for a permanent full time coach (fully certified) or 60K – 70K base salary for a permanent full time coach (not yet holds a Tennis Australia Development Certification – Level 1).
The position is to work at different venues in the Southern Highlands including, but not limited to: The King’s School – Tudor House, Moss Vale Tennis Club, WWS Frensham Schools.

PURPOSE OF ROLE: Our tennis coaches have a key role in ensuring that all players continue to enjoy playing tennis and to try to encourage more players to take up tennis as a sport.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role of the coach is increasingly extending beyond the tennis court, often with additional responsibilities for setting up and running programs for players i.e., including organizing competition. The tennis coach could therefore be required to perform a number of different roles within the coaching programs including: Coaching and organizing players to play. Managing the program and a team of coaches, assistants and volunteers. Organizing user-friendly competition. Customer care – ensuring good relationships with parents/ players or club/ tennis facility members, being organized and well prepared for lessons, and being professional both on and off the court. Managing the finances of the tennis programs. Ensuring the required equipment is available for lessons i.e., slower balls, nets, smaller racquets etc. Advertising and promoting the programs, ensuring that events are well promoted, attended and supported. Actively contributing to growing the tennis community through participation, new programs and venues.
QUALIFICATION AND/ OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Qualifications and experience An employee at this level has: (A) Studied in a relevant field and/ or has specialist knowledge, qualifications. This includes but is not limited to: – A Bachelor degree in Sports and/or Business Management. – A Tennis Australia Junior Development Coaching Certification (B)Worked in a relevant field and/or has specialist knowledge. This includes, but is not limited to: Experience working as a tennis coach More than 5 years of experience coaching players of different ages and levels SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Skills and competencies Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone and face to face. Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience. Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally. Commerciality: ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner. Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members. Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given, and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner. 🔑 Purpose of the Role
- Work closely with the Director to achieve business and financial goals
- Deliver high-quality coaching across all programs and markets
- Support and manage administration, marketing, sales, and operations
🧠 Key Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent, high-quality coaching programs
- Manage bookings, payments, scheduling, and customer enquiries
- Lead marketing campaigns (SMS, email, calls, automations)
- Support business growth, sales, and population of programs
